Day 1 (Saturday): Mumbai (Arrival)

Welcome aboard the Deccan Odyssey! Assemble at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by 16:40 hrs for registration and a traditional welcome. Enjoy a refreshing drink and dinner as the train departs for Nashik. Overnight stay on board.

Day 2 (Sunday): Nashik

After breakfast, explore the sacred city of Nashik. Walk along the Godavari Ghats, witness Hindu rituals, and stroll through bustling local markets. Visit the famous Grover Zampa vineyards, savor fine Indian wines with lunch, and return to the train for dinner as it departs for Aurangabad.

Day 3 (Monday): Aurangabad – Ellora Caves

Arrive in Aurangabad, named after Emperor Aurangzeb. Drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ellora Caves, home to 34 rock-cut temples of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain faiths. Visit the magnificent Kailash Temple. Return for lunch and cocktails on board as the train heads to Jalgaon.

Day 4 (Tuesday): Ajanta Caves

This morning, visit the world-renowned Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO site featuring stunning Buddhist rock-cut art, sculptures, and paintings from the 2nd century BC. Return to the train for lunch and enjoy onboard activities like spa, games, or a film screening. Dinner and overnight as the train proceeds to Kolhapur.

Day 5 (Wednesday): Kolhapur

Explore the royal city of Kolhapur. Visit the New Palace Museum and Town Hall Museum, shop for authentic Kolhapuri chappals, and experience folk dance and martial arts performances. Pay homage at the sacred Mahalakshmi Temple before returning to the train. Dinner on board as the journey continues to Goa.

Day 6 (Thursday): Goa

Wake up in vibrant Goa. Explore Fontainhas, the Portuguese Latin Quarter, and the ruins of St. Augustine Church. Enjoy a traditional Goan feast at Sahakari spice plantation, followed by a folk performance and plantation walk. Return to the train for dinner as it rolls through the scenic Konkan coast towards Sindhudurg.

Day 7 (Friday): Sindhudurg

Arrive at Sindhudurg, a coastal town known for its historic fort and temples. Explore local attractions and savor a coastal vibe before returning to the train for lunch. Later, enjoy onboard leisure as the Deccan Odyssey begins its journey back to Mumbai. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8 (Saturday): Mumbai (Departure)

After an early breakfast, disembark at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. Bid farewell to the royal Deccan Odyssey with cherished memories of your 8-day Maharashtra Splendor journey.

Day 1 (Saturday): Delhi – Sawai Madhopur

Arrive at Delhi railway station by 17:45 hrs to complete check-in formalities. Receive a traditional welcome with a refreshing drink before settling into your luxury cabin. As the Deccan Odyssey departs for Sawai Madhopur, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on board.

Day 2 (Sunday): Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore National Park

Wake up in Sawai Madhopur, home to the world-famous Ranthambore National Park. After breakfast, set out on an exciting jungle safari where tigers, leopards, deer, antelope, crocodiles, and exotic birds roam free. Return to the train for lunch and some rest. Later, explore a local village and enjoy high tea at the historic Sawai Madhopur Lodge. Reboard as the train departs for Agra. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3 (Monday): Agra

Today, the Deccan Odyssey arrives in the City of Love, Agra. After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal, a timeless monument to love. Enjoy lunch at a city hotel before exploring the Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb (the Baby Taj) and the grand Agra Fort. Later, indulge in shopping or a spa session before returning to the train. Dinner and overnight on board as the train departs for Jaipur.

Day 4 (Tuesday): Jaipur

Welcome to Jaipur, the Pink City. After breakfast, visit the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. En route, explore landmarks like Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and City Palace. Lunch will be arranged at a city hotel, followed by free time for shopping or a relaxing spa experience. Reboard the train in the evening for dinner as it heads towards Udaipur.

Day 5 (Wednesday): Udaipur

Arrive in the City of Lakes, Udaipur, surrounded by the Aravalli Hills. Visit the majestic City Palace with its Crystal Gallery, then take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to Jagmandir Palace for a royal lunch with live traditional music. Later, enjoy a heritage walk through Udaipur’s old city. Return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner and overnight as the train leaves for Vadodara.

Day 6 (Thursday): Vadodara

After breakfast, disembark at Vadodara to explore the UNESCO-listed Champaner–Pavagadh Archaeological Park, showcasing a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Return for lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum followed by high tea at the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace, still the residence of Vadodara’s royal family. Enjoy a cultural performance and local delicacies before returning to the train for dinner. Overnight on board as the train departs for Aurangabad.

Day 7 (Friday): Aurangabad – Ellora Caves

This morning is at leisure onboard as the train approaches Aurangabad. Return to the train for cocktails at Mumbai-Hi lounge, followed by dinner and overnight on board.
